What to Actually Look for in AICP Exam Prep Materials Before You Buy

Once you've decided to sit for the AICP exam, the next decision, what to actually study from, gets harder than it should be. There are guides, courses, flashcards, practice exams, and bundles from a handful of providers, all claiming to be the most comprehensive option. Here's what actually separates them, so you're comparing on the right criteria instead of just price.

How Long You Actually Keep Access

This is the single biggest structural difference between AICP prep providers, and it's the one most candidates don't think to ask about until after they've paid. Once that window closes, so does your access, even if you didn't end up sitting for the exam that cycle or want to reference the material again later.

AICP restructured its content domains, and prep materials that haven't been updated to match will leave gaps in exactly the areas the current exam weights most heavily. This is worth confirming directly, since not every provider updates their materials on the same timeline the exam itself changes.
